ATM/Debit Cards

The Bank of Stronghurst offers an ATM card and the Bank of Stronghurst Visa Debit Card.

The ATM Card can be used at any ATM or at any merchant that accepts Point of Sale transactions.

The Visa Debit Card is the simplest, fastest, and most convenient way to make purchases from your checking account without writing a check. Because it is accepted at over 13 million locations, it will always be a viable payment method. The Visa Debit Card also functions as an ATM card. Visa Debit Cards are available to qualified customers.

ATM Card PIN Number

If your pin number is lost or you are unable to remember the number you can contact any of our branch locations to order a new pin number.

Activate Your New Debit Card, Set and/or Change Your PIN

To activate your new debit card through our automated phone system:

  1. Call 800-567-3451; select your language preference
  2. Enter your card number as it appears on the front of your card
  3. Enter the 3-digit security code on back of the card
  4. Upon successful completion of steps 1-3, the system will prompt caller to answer authentication questions.
  5. After successful authentication, the card will be activated (if it hasn’t been activated already).

Should the caller incorrectly enter any necessary information, the system will repeat the prompts. For security reasons, the system will NOT notify the caller what prompt was entered incorrectly.

To set and/or change your debit card PIN through our automated phone system:

  1. Call 800-567-3451; select your language preference
  2. Enter your card number as it appears on the front of your card
  3. Enter the 3-digit security code on back of the card
  4. Upon successful completion of steps 1-3, the system will prompt caller to answer authentication questions which include the callers: last 4 of Social Security number, expiration date on card, zip code.
  5. The system will prompt the caller to enter a PIN to be used with the card.
  6. Upon successful PIN selection, you may begin using your card.


CardValet® is a mobile card management application that helps reduce account fraud by allowing cardholders to monitor accounts with their smartphone and control how, when and where their debit card is used.

CardValet® is available in the Apple® App Store or Google® Play. Once CardValet® is set up, cardholders have the ability to “turn off” their card when not in use, establish transaction spending limits and decline a transaction when the amount exceeds a predefined threshold.

Real-time smartphone alerts can be customized based on the types of information each cardholder would like to receive. For example, a cardholder can set up an alert to be notified when a card is used, when a transaction is approved and exceeds any of the permitted use policies, or when a card transaction has been attempted but has been declined based on the parameters established.

CardValet® offers cardholders the capability of linking additional accounts to better monitor dependent spending. So, by using the GPS system in their smart phone, geographic use restrictions can be established for dependents along with restrictions on merchant type and spending limits.

CardValet® is also ideal for small businesses. All transactions can be monitored or controlled for specific merchant categories, such as travel, restaurants or entertainment, and can be denied or reported for types of merchants deemed not business related.

Lost or Stolen Card?

Protecting your debit card and your funds is our top priority. Contact us immediately if your card is lost or stolen! We can terminate your card right away to prevent fraud and unauthorized usage before it happens, but we need to hear from you first. During banking hours, please call us at (309)924-1316. After hours, please contact the FRAUD PREVENTION CENTER at (800)472-3272.
