Full Time Bank Teller -  Stronghurst, IL

Bank of Stronghurst is looking for a Full-time Bank Telller to join our growing team in our Stronghurst location. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our customers' satisfaction while also having opportunities for advancement within our bank. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to handle a high volume of transactions. This position's essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Performing routine teller duties, such as cashing checks, accepting deposits, balancing the cash drawer and daily transactions, confirming cash totals, scanning checks, and establishing all deposit accounts.
  • Support additional specialized tasks or projects as required.
  • Keep all banking information private and adhere to all bank policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service while marketing and selling all bank products in a way that will improve the bank's standing in the community.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, plus a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent connections with other Bank of Stronghurst Employees while working individually and in a team to successfully and efficiently execute assignments.
  • Able to follow and comprehend bank policies, processes, and operations.
  • Basic familiarity with debits and credits.
  • Able to compute numbers and amounts, including percentages and interest.
  • Count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, regular fractions, and decimals in all units of measurement.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure the accuracy of transactions.
  • Interpersonal skills to deal with customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs on computers is required to create communication and reports.
  • Strong cash management skills.
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, prospective customers, and other employees.
  • Must be available to work on Saturday mornings.
  • MUST HAVE A SATISFACTORY BACKGROUND CHECK, INCLUDING A CREDIT HISTORY
Bank of Stronghurst – Main Branch Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Fridays: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
